‘Avatar 2’ Will Begin Filming Again In New Zealand Next Week
View this post on InstagramA post shared by Jon Landau (@jonplandau) on
Slowly (very slowly) the world is starting to reopen. The virus is still around, but it is starting to fade in some countries.
New Zealand handled the virus extremely well. It was almost a non-issue there, thanks to the government’s initial response, and now the country is basically reopened again. Even schools are open.
And next week, film and television production will be allowed to resume in the country. This is great news for Avatar 2, which was forced to suspend production a little over two months ago.
Oscar-winning producer John Landau went on his Instagram account to announce the exciting news…
Our Avatar sets are ready — and we couldn’t be more excited to be headed back to New Zealand next week. Check out the Matador, a high-speed forward command vessel (bottom) and the Picador jetboat (top) — can’t wait to share more.
Avatar 2 will be the first major studio movie to resume filming, and it’s likely more productions move overseas, so they can start filming again.
It could be another two months before Hollywood reopens. Two months is a long time in the movie making world. Studios will have a difficult decision to make.

Watch The New Trailer For Christopher Nolan’s Upcoming Sci-Fi/Action Flick ‘Tenet’

Warner Bros. released the second ‘Tenet‘ trailer on Thursday, much to the delight of Christopher Nolan fans across the world.
Nolan’s latest film stars John David Washington and Robert Pattinson, and while details surrounding the plot have been few and far between, the studio did release this plot synopsis…
John David Washington is the new Protagonist in Christopher Nolan’s original sci-fi action spectacle ‘Tenet.’
Armed with only one word—Tenet—and fighting for the survival of the entire world, the Protagonist journeys through a twilight world of international espionage on a mission that will unfold in something beyond real time.
Not time travel. Inversion.
What the hell does that mean? No idea. And why are they calling Washington’s character “Protagonist”? Is that his actual name in the film? If so, does that mean the movie is a story inside a story?
I don’t know. They obviously wanted the synopsis to be vague, so I’m not going to attempt to make sense of it.
In any event, check out the new trailer below. And yes, the release date is still scheduled to hit theaters July 17, but that could change.

New survey suggests UK cinemas won’t reopen until September

Everyone’s just about passed the two-month mark of the extreme new status quo under our pandemic-stricken reality, and people want something to look forward to. For cinephiles, the promise of widespread theatrical re-openings shines as the brightest light on the horizon, but that day may not be coming into closer view any time soon.
Today brings a new report from the Independent Cinema Office, which does not confer the most encouraging impression of the timeline for getting bodies back in brick-and-mortar movie houses. The ICO polled 497 cinema operators in various positions throughout the UK, and the responses place the hopeful return far past the government’s projected date of July. (Christopher Nolan shouldn’t be counting any chickens.)
A majority of participants predict that they would not be able to securely open their doors again until September at the earliest, and even beyond that, a sizeable 41 per cent state that they will not be able to resume operations in any capacity whatsoever until social distancing policies have been retired.
The 59 per cent that would consider getting back to work would almost unilaterally install hand-sanitising stations while requiring masks and gloves for staff. (Measures like temperature screening and divider screens between seats in auditoriums would be far rarer.)
The report foretells financial strain on both ends for theatres, between the money required to implement these new protocols (an estimated 20 per cent increase in costs) and the money they’re losing with diminished attendance (an estimated 50 per cent decrease in gross revenue). Most dispiriting of all, a majority of respondents gave themselves three months of of survival under social distancing rules before they’d have to shut down again.
A little hope would be nice right now, but as difficult as this sobering truth may be to accept, beginning the process of coming to terms with that now may ultimately soften the blow. It’s going to be a long time until we can nestle our buns into the welcoming cushion of a theatre seat, and even longer until we can do so while breathing easily. Stay safe and stay well.

A new online anime festival promises to broaden horizons

Even in normal times, new anime releases are often difficult to come by. Often restricted by limited theatrical windows, new releases come and go in the blink of an eye, making it tricky for new audiences to find a way in.
Anime Limited, one of the UK’s main distributors of the medium, is looking to solve two problems at once with their new online film festival Screen Anime, as CEO Andrew Partridge says, by “[taking] the film festival experience online, and at the same time [addressing] a gap we recognise from fan feedback in how theatrical anime is released to date.”
The new online festival will have a rolling curation of anime titles, updated every month along with fan events. It’s a great opportunity to become acquainted with a wider range of Japan’s animation output. For the festival’s launch, here’s a quick primer for the first selection of films:
Penguin Highway (2018)
You might not guess it from the title, but Hiroyasu Ishida’s Penguin Highway, Beautifully animated and smartly adapted Tomihiko Miromi’s science fiction novel, the story follows young Aoyama as he works to solve the mysterious appearance of penguins in his village, linked to a young woman working at the local dentist. It’s reminiscent of the work of Studio Ghibli, with its delicate score, precocious but complicated children and patient approach its main mystery which is intertwined with nature. Bringing equal amounts of silliness and sincerity to its zany premise, this might be the best starting place for those still looking for a route in to anime.
Promare (2019)
An “exciting cacophony of flames, robots, chiselled torsos and ridiculous catchphrases” (words I stand by!), Promare is a complete whirlwind of a film from the young Studio Trigger. Directed by studio co-founder Hiroyuki Imaishi, Promare is an impressive, mostly successful attempt to fully merge 2D and 3D modes of animation. Its unrestrained and self-aware antics are intoxicating, not least of all in its central (often homoerotic) rivalry between bone-headed firefighter Galo and mutant ally Lio Fotia. Ridiculous fun, and a great example of new potential avenues for visual expression in anime.
Patema Inverted (2013)
A post-apocalypse anime about the world quite literally being turned upside down, Patema Inverted makes a surprisingly effective allegory for isolationism out of its unusual premise as it details the persecution of “Inverts”, people forced to hide underground after a strange calamity. Writer/director Yasuhiro Yoshiura does well to keep their audience guessing with a number of elegantly executed twists, that will leave most unsure as to where is up and where is down. That the story is somewhat held together by contrivances feels unimportant, as every moment of empathy is well-earned.
Royal Space Force: The Wings of Honnêmaise (1987)
Though it’s probably the oldest and deepest cut in this initial line-up, Royal Space Force is far from a relic. Brought to life by a veritable stable of talent including Ryuchi Sakamoto and Hideaki Anno, director Hiroyuki Yamaga explores a world where the space race and colonial attitudes towards it possess a religious fervour. Rough-edged and deliberately paced, it can be a rocky viewing experience – due in no small part to a scene of sexual assault which is troublingly swept aside – but for the most part, it’s a thoughtful, sometimes beautiful interrogation of the socio-political cost of technological progress.

Watch anti-fascism documentary White Riot

To commemorate the 1978 Rock Against Racism concert in London’s Victoria Park, where The Clash famously took the stage to protest against racial prejudice in the UK, we’ve teamed up with Modern Films and All Point East for an exclusive preview of White Riot, a new film recounting the story of this historic musical movement.
The 80-minute documentary combines raw archive footage and retrospective interviews to recreate the volatile social environment of Britain in the late 1970s. From its humble beginnings as a Hoxton fanzine, RAR captured the imagination and mood of an entire generation, sticking two fingers up to fascism while celebrating the diversity of this proudly multicultural nation.
Winner of the Grierson Award for Best Documentary at the 2019 BFI London Film Festival, White Riot is available to view online from 22-31 May, with a chunk of the proceeds from each stream going to participating independent cinemas.
And join us on Friday 29 May at 8pm for a special live-streamed panel discussion and musical performance, hosted by Kate Hutchinson and featuring director Rubika Shah, RAR co-founder Roger Huddle and Jenny Hamada from All Points East Festival, as well as music guest Celeste Bell (daughter of Poly Styrene, whose band X-Ray Spex performed at the original RAR) plus more TBA.

Check Out Charlize Theron In First Trailer For ‘The Old Guard’

Netflix has released the first trailer for their upcoming action/thriller, The Old Guard, which stars Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron.
Theron stars as Andy, an immortal warrior who leads a cover group of mercenaries incapable of dying.
Based on the graphic novel series of the same name by Greg Rucka and Leandro Fernandez and scripted by Rucka himself.
In addition to Theron, this movie also stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, Luca Marinelli and Matthias Schoenaerts.
I’ll be honest. The premise isn’t exactly grabbing me. It’s not my cup of tea, but given the current state of the world, I’ll take any new movie I can get.
At the very least, this should be an entertaining flick. It’s scheduled to premiere on Netflix on July 10, which is just a little over one month away.
Check out the trailer below…

Peter Dinklage And Jason Momoa Joining Forces To Star In Vampire Film ‘Good Bad & Undead’

Jason Momoa and Peter Dinklage previously worked together on some show called ‘Game of Thrones‘ and now they may be reuniting.
According to a report from Variety, the two stars are in negotiations to produce and star in the upcoming vampire flick, Good Bad & Undead, from Legendary.
Dinklage will portray Van Helsing, the last in a line of vampire hunters. He has an uneasy partnership with Momoa’s vampire character, who has taken a vow never to kill again. Together they run a scam from town to town, where Van Helsing pretends to vanquish the vampire for money. But they wind up on the run after a massive bounty is put on the vampire.
The studio has locked in Max Barbakow as the director. The movie is based on an original idea from Mark Swift and Damian Shannon.
For those who don’t know, Barbakow is on a bit of a hot streak. He is the director behind the recent Andy Samberg film ‘Palm Springs‘ which broke the record for biggest sale in Sundance history. Neon/Hulu purchased it for $17.5 million.
No word on when this vampire film will be released, but as always, we’ll keep you posted.

Mrs. Serial Killer Full Movie Free Download

Mrs. Serial Killer Full Movie Free Download
Mrs. Serial Killer, also spelt as Mrs Serial Killer is a 2020 Indian Hindi-language crime thriller film, produced as an Original for Netflix. The film is written and directed by Shirish Kunder and produced by his wife Farah Khan. The film stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Manoj Bajpayee and Mohit Raina in the main lead roles while Aamir Khan's niece Zayn Marie makes her acting debut appearance in a film.[1]
Jacqueline plays the titular role of the film. The film was released on Netflix on 1 May coinciding with May Day.[2][3] The release date of the film was announced in a video by the actress herself on 14 April coinciding with the Puthandu.[4][5] The video was shared on Netflix India's social media account.[6][7]
Plot[edit]
The film starts with Sona Mukherjee (Jacqueline Fernandez) having a video call with her husband Mrityunjoy Mukherjee ( #0b0080; text-decoration-line: none;" title="Manoj Bajpayee">Manoj Bajpayee) when Sona tells him that she is pregnant.Right after the video call, inspector Imran Shahid (Mohit Raina), who is also the ex-boyfriend of Sona, visits her house to collect evidence against Joy in a serial killing case. Sona however thinks Shahid is just trying to frame Joy to take revenge for taking away his love.
The serial killing case is that of six girls in the town who go missing, and later their bodies are found in an isolated house owned by Joy. All the missing girls are unmarried pregnant and were aborted and dismembered. Joy, who is a doctor, is therefore arrested. The respect of people of the town to Joy turns to anger.Sona, who firmly believes that Joy is innocent and framed by Shahid, visits Joy in prison, and Joy tells her to ask a famous lawyer Mr. Rastogi (Darshan Jariwala) for help, whom he saved before.
Rostogi suggests that they should by all means get Joy bailed. But the bail application is later rejected by the court for all found evidence is against Joy. He then suggests Sona to prove Joy's innocence in an illegal way -- to kill one more girl in the exactly same way the previous 6 were killed, to prove that the killer is not Joy. Sona is a kind person and unwilling to do anything illegal, but she finally agrees with the plan after she is convinced there's no other way to prove Joy's innocence. Sona chooses her neighbor Anushka Tiwari (Zayn Marie), an unmarried pregnant girl, just like the 6 previous victims. Later, news of Anushka's death reaches police, making the court believe Joy is not the killer and grant him bail.
After Joy returns home, Sona shows him Anushka, who is still held captive by Sona. It is revealed that Sona actually didn't kill her, but found an unclaimed body and dressed it and made it up, to make it look like Anushka's body. Meanwhile, Anushka's boyfriend Sid followed them and finds missing Anushka is actually alive and tied by them in the basement of Joy's clinic. Sid tries to free and save Anushka, but accidentally locks himself in the cupboard. Sona wakes up in the night to find Joy missing. Her sixth sense tells he is in the clinic trying to do something to Anushka, so she drives there immediately, only to find Joy is about to kill Anushka. Sona now realizes that he is indeed the killer of the six girls and tries to save Anushka, but fails as he pins her hand on the table with his scalpel.
Sid is also taken down and tied by Joy, but he manages to contact Shahid to tell him what's happening there and the latter immediately arrives, only to be taken down and tied also by Joy. Joy is now going to abort and dismember Anushka right in front of them. Shahid manages to free himself, stabs Joy and saves the others. Sona wakes up in hospital, with Shahid beside. He tells her that Anushka is not going to file a case against her because she saved her life. Joy is also saved by the doctor and alive, but escapes from the hospital before anyone is aware. Rastogi, who knew Joy's crime already, and possibly had his role in those killings, receives Joy and gives him shelter.
